Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This workshop is an advanced class of “Negotiation process for consensus building”. Students who have already participated in the past 2-day workshop can register for this one.\u00a0<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students can ask the facilitator what kind of role-plays they want to engage in, for example, business negotiation, community disputes,\u00a0 family disputes, and cross-cultural negotiation, depending on their interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mayu Watanabe, Ph.D<\/strong>
Specially Appointed Associate Professor, Institute of Science Tokyo<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Specializes in civil dispute resolution procedures and has taught negotiation, mediation, ODR, and Legal Design classes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mayu Watanabe is a member of the ODR Promotion Council of the Ministry of Justice, a board member of the Japan ODR Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also a Visiting Fellow at the Gould Negotiation and Dispute Resolution Center at Stanford Law School
(2014-2016), Senior Fellow for the Weinstein
International Foundation (2017-present), Fellow of the National Center for Technology and Dispute Resolution at the University of Massachusetts (2021-present).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
