Introduction<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u30fbIt is not just Design Thinking! The methodology of \u201cFuture Foresight\u201d spread in Europe and the United States as a way of thinking about future prediction and uncertainty management in the VUCA era. In Japan, \u201cFuture Foresight\u201d is being used by many private companies, government and local governments as a methodology which may take different approach than \u201cDesign Thinking\u201d.

\u30fb \u201cFuture Foresight\u201d is important for the mindset which critically thinks about familiar views and relationships of existing things and gives a challenge of creative bias breaking and re-framing (redefining issues).

\u30fb By using horizon scanning methods that capture the signs of uncertain change and forced thinking (brainstorming), we will proactively design the future in 10-15 years from now that nobody has yet conceived. In this course, you will experimentally learn how to use Future Foresight as a thinking tool for this purpose though 4 classes in Jan-Feb\/2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
