At the Center for Entrepreneurship Education, we are honored to welcome Mr. Anas Jnena, former project manager of \u201cWe Are Not Numbers\u201d\u2014a media social enterprise that publishes articles on the experiences of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and shares them with the world\u2014to deliver an online keynote address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Drawing on his firsthand experiences in Gaza, Mr. Jnena continues to work to bridge community-based civic activism with international policy. Currently based in Kuwait, where he teaches, he is conducting research at the University of Leicester in the UK. Using methods such as narrative analysis and autoethnography\u2014which analyze the accounts of those directly involved and their own experiences\u2014he is studying how \u201ceducation\u201d and \u201cleadership\u201d empower people to achieve self-reliance and rebuild society in post-conflict environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the presentation, Mr. Jnena will draw on the activities of \u201cWe Are Not Numbers\u201d and his own experiences to discuss the importance of the mindset and skills of entrepreneurship\u2014such as leadership and value creation\u2014even in crisis zones. A Q&A session with participants will follow the lecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This event is open to students, faculty, staff, and members of the general public.

*This event is scheduled to be one of the certified events designated by the Center for Entrepreneurship Education<\/a>. Students in the science and engineering fields may earn points for Entrepreneurship Courses by fully participating in this lecture and completing the required questionnaire to be sent to participants after the lecture. Please note that points will not be granted to those who do not submit the questionnaire as required.
