リーダーシップ教育院（ToTAL）では、環境・社会理工学院のSasipa Boonyubol講師をファシリテーターとしてお迎えし、国連が制定する「国際女性デー」に合わせて、3月22日にドキュメンタリー映画「PICTURE A SCIENTIST」を無料上映し、カジュアルディスカッションを行うイベントを開催します。国際女性デーは毎年3月8日に定められており、今年のテーマは「Inspire Inclusion」です。
「PICTURE A SCIENTIST」（2020年公開）は科学の世界において、女性がキャリアを進める上で経験する偏見や差別、そして科学をより多様で平等、且つ、オープンな世界にするためにチャレンジし続ける女性科学者たちにスポットをあてた映画で、トライベッカ映画祭でも上映されました。 女性に限らず、全学生、教職員からのご参加をお待ちしております。奮ってご参加下さい！

■イベント概要（英語）：
This year, International Women’s Day will be celebrated on March 8 with the theme #InspireInclusion. Join us in celebrating IWD with a free screening of the 2020 film “PICTURE A SCIENTIST.” This film featured in the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival chronicles the groundswell of researchers who are writing a new chapter for women scientists. Biologist Nancy Hopkins, chemist Raychelle Burks, and geologist Jane Willenbring lead viewers on a journey deep into their own experiences in the sciences, ranging from brutal harassment to years of subtle slights. Along the way, from cramped laboratories to spectacular field stations, we encounter scientific luminaries – including social scientists, neuroscientists, and psychologists – who provide new perspectives on how to make science itself more diverse, equitable, and open to all.
The film will be screened followed by a casual discussion on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 3:30PM to 5:30PM at Workshop Room, Taki Plaza B2F, Ookayama Campus.
