ToTAL offers various kinds of programs (workshops) to foster your “leadership” and/or “entrepreneurship” skills to all Tokyo Tech students, including graduates and undergraduates, as “Total/OPEN Programs”.

More than 20 kinds of workshops are available for any graduate or undergraduate student, even non-ToTAL students. Most of the workshops are designated as events of “Cross-the Border” program. If you are a graduate student, you can register for ToTAL course(s) and expect to get credits and GAs.

1. You can apply to any specific workshop:

Since we are offering more than 10 kinds of workshops in 1Q and 2Q, you can apply to any of the specific workshop(s) in which you are interested. All students are welcome.

Each workshop has a different theme, methodology and skills to be obtained. In addition, each workshop has different period; some of them last a few hours, and some of them last from several days to 2 months. You can choose the workshop(s) you want to attend depending on your availability, aims and direction.

Most of the workshops are designated as “events” for the “Cross the border!” program.

You can check the outline of each workshop by downloading the PDF file below.

*Outline of each course and workshop to be offered (ver.1.9.3) (Updated: 2023/6/9)

2. Graduate students can register for ToTAL courses:

Any graduate student can register for ToTAL courses (500/600) to obtain credits and GAs as shown in the table below. Except for the course of “Master’s/Doctoral Practical Group Work for Leadership”, all the courses consist of workshops in omnibus style. Workshops, subjected to each course, differ in each course.

Students can obtain points of each workshop that they attend, and may be authorized to pass the course if the accumulated points reach the points required in each course.

If you belong to a “Takuetsu” (WISE) program, you are recommended to register for the courses designated by each “Takuetsu” program as their leadership training course. The contents of ISE/InfoSyEnergy Policy Making Workshop are designated by ToTAL.
