I was worried that the place of communication tends to be limited to the laboratory, but I was inspired by the fact that ToTAL allows us to interact across specialized fields and many international students are registered.
What I learned at ToTAL was directly related to my job hunting activities!

Thanks to the financial support, I was able to participate in the United Nations Internship!
ToTAL supported* my expenses for a UN internship in Tajikistan. It was an eye-opening adventure that put me in a way of life that was completely different from my everyday life in Japan.
*The off-campus project is eligible for ToTAL PhD students who passed the Qualifying Examination.
As a TA, I gained a lot of experience in conducting classes!
As a TA, I was entrusted with the conduct of classes, and by practicing speaking in front of people, I became less anxious when presenting at academic conferences.
