Procedure

ToTAL Office conducts a survey for doctoral students (except MEXT scholarship students) in April and October, regarding your exemption qualifications for the next semester. Please be sure to reply. (Even if the situation does not change, you need to reply every time.)

For doctoral students, the full amount of tuition will be exempted without conditions in the first year of their doctoral degree program. However, renewal of exemption is not automatic. ToTAL students need to pass the ToTAL QE and earn or expect to earn 9 and more credits satisfying the program’s completion requirements. Eligibility to receive full or half of the amount of tuition exemption will be determined by individual consultation with ToTAL faculty members.

The details of the exemption will be notified at a later date. If you are approved for ToTAL tuition exemption while applying for tuition exemption from Tokyo Tech, please cancel the application to Tokyo Tech because it will be unnecessary.

For more information, please refer to the following documents.
