During this two-day workshop, students learned an overview of scenario planning and completed two scenario-building exercises.

Scenario planning is a tool for handling situations where multiple future scenarios are possible, and the probability of each situation is hard to estimate. With the assumption that the future is uncertain, students worked together to expand their future vision. They then thought about what they would like to achieve regarding each scenario and thought backward from there to determine what they should do now.

Voices from Participants

  • It was a good opportunity to think about things on an axis I wouldn’t normally think about.
  • The second day was very fulfilling and enjoyable. It was particularly interesting that the final action reached was completely unimaginable at the beginning.
  • The workshop was extremely informative and insightful. The practice of “Scenario Planning” and “Future Dialogue” can be applied not only at the corporate level but also on a personal level.
