At our university, entrepreneurship is understood as a mindset and skillset for discovering and creating new value. The curriculum is designed with this principle in mind. The core courses, Leadership and Value Creation, emphasize that each student should set their own goals. The learning process begins with students deciding why, what, and how they want to learn.
Course Features
Flexible Workshop Selection
Each semester, students can choose from over 20 different workshops, selecting the ones that best fit their current learning needs. Each workshop is assigned a certain number of points based on duration and intensity. Students are responsible for planning their participation to ensure they meet the credit requirements for the course.
No GPA Impact
This course is designed to provide students with insights and suggestions for shaping their own way of thinking and decision-making. Since individual growth in these areas cannot be quantitatively assessed, grades are based on participation and engagement. Students will receive either a Pass or a Fail grade. These courses do not affect GPA, so students are encouraged to choose workshops based on their genuine interests.
Diverse Group Work Across Grades & Languages
Most workshops are open to both undergraduate and graduate students, allowing for collaboration with peers from different academic backgrounds, interests, and age groups. Since international students also participate, workshops can be a great opportunity for language training in Japanese, English, or other languages. (The language of each workshop varies. Students can express their language preferences in advance.)
Workshops Led by Experts from Various Fields
Many workshops feature guest facilitators who are active in entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship education. These experts bring real-world insights and practical knowledge to the learning experience.
Multiple Participation Encouraged
Students are welcome to retake workshops they have previously attended. As time passes, students’ challenges and interests may evolve, and different sessions of the same workshop may cover new themes and feature different group members, offering fresh perspectives. If a workshop interests you, feel free to join it as many times as you like.
