【Announcement of Briefing/Call for Participants】 A briefing about “Programming Boot Camp” as 2019 3Q4Q Practical Group Work for Leadership F
A briefing about Programming Boot Camp, contents of “Practical Group Work for Leadership F”, a course of ToTAL in 2019 3Q/4Q, will be held as follows. During the briefing, outline of the program and how students participate the program will be explained. In addition, the students who joined the program last year will make a demonstration of the web service developed in the program.

(3) How to join the program and Pitch for selecting teams to be participated in the program
– All of students who want to register “Practical Group Work for Leadership F” to be held in 2019 3Q4Q, including ToTAL students, are being requested to join the briefing.
– Any of students who are not planning to register above course but want to join the program (OPEN students) are also requested to join the briefing.
– Please inform Prof. Yamada/ToTAL if you want to join the briefing.

1. Outline of “Programming Boot Camp”:
(1) This program has been held one a year since 2015.
(2) This program is planned and operated by students voluntary. Both Mr. Chen Yuhao, Artificial Intelligence Course, M1, and Ms. Misato Yamamoto, Graduate School of Social Sciences, Hitotsubashi Univ., are responsible for this role.
(3) The aim of this program is to develop moving web service site. By forming a team with 3-4 students, students will try to come up with and develop their own idea service through 6 times of classes within 3 months.
(4) Students are going to be learned fundamental programming skills in Learning Phase (1st round – 4th round), and to engage in development work on their web service in the 5th and 6th round. The 6 th round will be 3-day camp.
(5) During all of 6 rounds, some experts from Guild Works Inc., web application development specialists, are going to support students.
(6) The beginner for web application development will be welcome.
(7) In advance of the classes, all applicant teams are being requested to present their idea of web service to be developed, so that Prof. Yamada and Guild Works will select up to 6 teams as the members to the program. This selection will be held on 26/Sep(Fri).
2. Comments from Mr. Huang Hingye, Electrical and Electronic Engineering Course, D2, who joined the program in 2018 3Q4Q:
As a participant of Programming Boot Camp 2018, I strongly recommend international students to join this course. It is about making a web front-end prototype of your commercial proposal by using Vue.js, which is suitable for people from beginner to expert in programming and well documented in many languages.
Also, it is a good chance to practice your ability of teamwork. You can see what people in your team good at and make decisions together about what your products should be.
