We have been offering more than 20 kinds of workshops every year including “Design Thinking” and “System Thinking” to encourage “innovations” at ToTAL. Some examples of these workshops include; “Book Dialogue” to read a book in short time and with deep discussion among members, and EGAKU for recovering your creativity, etc. They are offered to foster your “leadership” and/or “entrepreneurship” mindsets and skills. Any non-ToTAL student, both graduates and undergraduates, can apply to these workshops.
*”ToTAL/Open Programs” are workshops for fostering your leadership and/or entrepreneurship, to which any of non-ToTAL student can apply.
Many ToTAL workshops are designated by “Cross the Border!” program as “events” required for their students to attend. You will be able to find them in the Schedule that can be downloaded from below.
We are happy to receive your application at any time before the date of the workshop. Some workshops, however, have a limit to the number of attendants. We may carry out a selection in case of over-subscription.

Please select “Attend” in the column (orange color) of the workshop which you want to join in the Schedule and send the Schedule (Attending Plan), and send to Prof. Yamada by email:

After receiving your Schedule (Attending Plan), we will inform you if you can join the workshop or not.
<You can apply ToTAL courses(s)>
Since each workshop is a part of the contents of ToTAL courses, you may gain credits (and GAs) by registering to ToTAL course(s) and attending workshops designated by the course. Especially, if you are one of following i.-iii., we recommend you to register to ToTAL course(s).
i. Any “TAKUETSU” Program (WISE Program: TAC-MI, SSS, ISE) student required to take credits in “leadership” course(s).
ii. Any student who want to gain credits and/or GAs in their “career course”.
iii. Any student who belong to the “Cross the Border!” program.
Each ToTAL course consists of various kinds of workshops, like in “omnibus” style. You can find (1) which workshop is assigned as a part of ToTAL courses, and (2) points of each workshop to be counted, in the Schedule.
*You will pass the course if the total points you gain by attending the contents exceed the points designated as passing condition of each workshop.
If you would like to apply to ToTAL course(s):
Please select “Attend” in the column (orange color) of the workshop, you want to join, in the Schedule and send the Schedule (Attending Plan) to Prof. Yamada by email. In addition, please make sure that the total points of workshops that you want to join, exceed the points necessary to pass the course shown in the Schedule.
