Academy for Leadership (ToTAL) is honored to invite Ms. Shizuko Yamagishi, Founder and Representative Director of Kerria Project, a non-profit organization, and Yukari-no-ki care center, to give a lecture titled “Facing Human Characteristics as a Leader: Lessons Learned from People with Disabilities” on Monday, May 19, 2025 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. After her lecture, Ms. Yamagishi will answer questions from the participants.

Mr. Yamagishi, who has a child with disabilities, launched the nonprofit organization Kerria Project in 2018, and established a care center for people with disabilities, Yukari-no-ki, in 2020. Ms. Yamagishi will talk about what she has learned by working with people with disabilities, the various challenges she experienced, and give some tips on how to handle challenges as a leader.

All interested students, faculty, and staff, regardless of whether they are in the fields of science & engineering or medical & dental, are welcome to attend.
