Academy for Leadership (ToTAL) is honored to invite Ms. Shizuko Yamagishi, Founder and Representative Director of Kerria Project, a non-profit organization, and Yukari-no-ki care center, to give a lecture titled “Facing Human Characteristics as a Leader: Lessons Learned from People with Disabilities” on Monday, May 19, 2025 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. After her lecture, Ms. Yamagishi will answer questions from the participants.
Mr. Yamagishi, who has a child with disabilities, launched the nonprofit organization Kerria Project in 2018, and established a care center for people with disabilities, Yukari-no-ki, in 2020. Ms. Yamagishi will talk about what she has learned by working with people with disabilities, the various challenges she experienced including human relationship issues, and give some tips on how to handle challenges as a leader.
All interested students, faculty, and staff, regardless of whether they are in the fields of science & engineering or medical & dental, are welcome to attend.
