[Call for Participants] The 15th Global Leadership Cafe series lecture "Practical Approaches to Business Leadership and Entrepreneurship" (Guest speaker: Mr. Wilf Blackburn, author and business leader)

At the Center for Entrepreneurship Education, we are happy to welcome Mr. Wilf Blackburn, a global business leader and author of Optimal Leadership: Reflections of a Serial CEO, on campus on Wednesday, November 18, 2026. Mr. Blackburn will give a lecture entitled "Practical Approaches to Business Leadership and Entrepreneurship" in person at Ookayama Campus and online, followed by a Q&A session.

This lecture will explore ways of thinking and practical approaches to creating new value in highly uncertain environments, with a particular focus on business, from three perspectives: entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership and value creation.
Mr. Blackburn will share insights from his experiences serving as a CEO in multiple countries, including lessons learned from failure, empowering teams, and leading effectively in cross-cultural environments.

The event is open to everyone, regardless of discipline or affiliation, including students, faculty, and staff, as well as members of the general public.

*This is scheduled to be held as one of the certified events of Center for Entrepreneurship Education. Students who attend this lecture and complete the post-event survey will earn 1 entrepreneurship point. Entrepreneurship points count toward the course “ENT.B211: Science, Technology, Culture, Society and Innovation 1 (1 credit),” which is available to undergraduate students enrolled in the 2024 academic year or later.
