Whether you go on to work for a company, pursue a career in academia or research, start your own business, or simply interact with those around you in your daily life, entrepreneurship is a skill you can apply in any situation. Even during the inevitable turning points in life, there will be opportunities to put your entrepreneurial spirit to use.
The Center for Entrepreneurship Education is pleased to welcome Mr. Kyle Oura, who has founded senior residences and senior-oriented services in the United States, to deliver a short online lecture in English titled “How to Pivot History: Hard-Earned Startup Lessons & Positioning for Big Trends.”
Mr. Oura will share the lessons he has learned through life’s turning points—as a student, a company employee, an unemployed individual, and a startup founder.
There were two major turning points. One led him to become an expert in senior housing, and the other led him to work on digitally preserving people’s memories for future generations (digital immortality). Mr. Oura will offer advice on how to prepare for major life transitions and will answer questions from the audience.
The event is open to everyone, including students, faculty, staff, and the general public. (We ask that attendees outside of Science Tokyo to participate online.)
The lecture will be held online via Zoom and projected in Workshop Room 2, Taki Plaza B2F. You are welcome to attend while you enjoy your lunch.
