Outline

A briefing session for the “Lean Launchpad” (LLP) program, a program for exploring business probability to be held in the next term (Q1-Q2 of AY 2024) , will be held as follows.

If you are interested in this program or are planning to register for the ToTAL course of “(Master’s/Doctoral) Practical Group Work for Leadership I/II (S)”, please be sure to participate in this briefing session.

●It will be held for about two months starting from the second half of May. We will logically verify the possibility of social implementation by accumulating facts rather than knowledge, such as clarifying the existence of users (customers) of the business ideas you propose. The work will be carried out by forming a team (3-5 people) who agree with the proposed business idea.

●The original “Lean Launchpad” was proposed by Steve Blank, a serial entrepreneur of Silicon Valley in the United States, and has been adopted by many startup companies and large companies. It is also offered as a training program for entrepreneurship and leadership at many universities in the United States, including Stanford University. In Japan, LLP is also held in some universities including Tokyo Tech, Osaka University, Waseda University and Kinki University, and an event is also held where excellent teams from each university gather to select the best team of the year.

●Applications for participation in this program are open to ToTAL students as well as all Tokyo Tech students (undergraduates and graduates). Members of your team to be formed can be searched through preliminary meetings of those who wish to participate in this program, or you can scout anyone who is willing to commit to team activities for about two months. However, the teams that can participate in the program will be selected based on their “business” ideas, with a maximum of six teams.

●LLP is the content of ToTAL course “(Master’s/Doctoral) Practical Group Work for Leadership I/II (S)”. Not only ToTAL students but also any Tokyo Tech graduate student can earn 2 credits and GAs (GA0M/GA1M, or GA1D/GA1D) by registering for the course.

●LLP is recommended to the following:
(1) Those who are thinking about participating in any business plan competition or raising funds in the future
(2) Those who do not have a clear business idea but are interested in starting a business
(3) Those who are interested in working for a company in the future
(4) Those who are interested in creating new values
(5) Those interested in leadership and entrepreneurship
(6) Those who are planning to take the ToTAL course of “(Master’s/Doctoral) Practical Group Work for Leadership I/II (S)”
